Playing Tennis with the Net Down

To paraphrase Bob Frost with no intent to mock,
Some poems of his intone, while others mostly talk.

Blank verse on rhythmic stress chiefly depends
For structure, not on rhymes at sentence ends.

Also, alliteration reinforces
The basic-English Anglo-Saxon sources.

So one can do without rhyme, I suppose,
Like watering the grass without the hose.
